Our public schools tie the members of our community together & shape our children’s lives. To ensure we have high-quality schools, we all have a role to play: the School Board, the School Administration, educators, and parents.

We all know the roles of educators and parents - they are the front line in the education of our youth. The roles of the School Board and School Administrators may be less clear. Generally speaking, the role of the School Board is to ensure that the School District is run well, while the role of the Administration is to run the School District. Specifically, it is the duty of the School Board to ensure that the policies and actions of the Administration support the educational needs and values of the community. The School Board provides oversight from a “bird's eye view,” while the Administration does the “nuts and bolts” work of running the district.

We look forward to the opportunity to represent the community's many and diverse interests, by asking the hard questions needed to make sure the educational needs of our community's children are at the forefront of all decisions. We will keep the emphasis on supporting the growth and education of the whole child, on educational equity, and on responsible management of district funds and facilities.

Working together as a team, we will ensure that Pennsbury lives up to its mission of preparing "all students to become creative, ethical, and critical thinkers for lifelong success in a global society" and build a school district, equipped with top notch educators, staff, and resources, so that every student has the opportunity to excel.
