Pennsbury Success Fighting for Fairness

On May 6, Jeannine Delwiche, Linda Palsky, and Joanna Steere, endorsed Democratic candidates for the Pennsbury School Board, filed an emergency petition for preliminary injunction against Tim Watkins and Frank Cabanas. Delwiche, Palsky, and Steere took this step to prevent their opponents from continuing to cause confusion among registered Democratic voters by distributing literature intentionally designed to look as though it was coming from the Democratic Party.

"We wanted to present a positive campaign and to set a tone that shows that at a local level we can rise above partisan bickering," said candidate Jeannine Delwiche. "However, it would be a disservice to the registered Democratic voters in our region if we allowed our opponents to continue their deceptive and manipulative practices unchallenged."

"Transparency is a top priority for many local voters. All we are asking for is a level playing field and transparency from the candidates," said Dr. Steere. "We are hopeful that this injunction will make this possible."

“You won’t see that kind of deceptive campaigning coming from me and my running mates,” said Linda Palsky. “I think it tells you a lot about the character of our opponents that we have to go to these lengths to get them to play by the rules. I find it truly disheartening to see lies and deception used in a local school board campaign. This is about providing the best educational system for our students and community, not advancing personal agendas.”
